The Archvest Advantage

Your financial goals are unique. Fortunately, so is our approach.

We start by working together to develop a personalized investment plan for you. We then monitor that plan and update it as needed—keeping you informed from the start about the risks and potential reward. The strategies we embrace are grounded in long-term economic truths, adjusted for today's market and your individual circumstances.

In our fiduciary obligation to put you first, we limit the number of clients we serve. That way, we're available when you need us to listen, plan, guide, and even celebrate.

John Wenzel

CFO and Co-Founder

CFO and Co-Founder, John Wenzel demonstrates his passion for financial planning via his commitment to serve each of the company’s clients. When he came into the field over 14 years ago, he was struck with a conviction that individuals should be able to receive professional advice at a reasonable cost. The financial planning field is riddled with advisors who do not clearly serve in their clients’ best interests. As such, John came to this field to make a change to that for the clients he works with. With his years of professional advising experience, he brings a unique and objective perspective to a financial plan, truly understanding one’s circumstances. He uses this to work alongside and empower clients through often-complex financial scenarios including tax planning, stock options and other forms of executive compensation plans. John upholds the fiduciary standard to which our advisors are called.

He also spends countless hours volunteering through his local Rotary club as well as within the financial planning industry itself. Of recent, John spearheaded a team that successfully funded a grant that fully outfitted a computer lab for students in Uganda, Africa.

Prior to Archvest, John worked as a Financial Advisor at a Registered Investment Advisory firm. He is a Registered Advisor through the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), an association exclusive to fee-only firms. John has also attained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, the highest standard for planners in the industry. John has served on the NAPFA West Region board, Board of Directors for his local Rotary club and is a board member of the Clayton Valley / Concord Sunrise Rotary Charitable Fund.

John is married to his high school sweetheart, Kristyn. Together, they have two daughters, Emily and Elyse, and a son, Ian. He is actively involved in his local church and enjoys photography, mountain biking, and golf when given the opportunity.
