The final Federal Reserve interest rate decision of the year is here.
At 2:00 p.m. ET, the Fed is expected to announce a 25 basis point increase in the target range for its benchmark interest rate for the fourth time this year. This increase would set the Fed’s benchmark rate in a band of 2.25%-2.5%, the highest since the spring of 2008. It would mark the 9th interest rate increase since the financial crisis.
