The best investment marketing campaign I've seen are the new CFP Board ads. The ads (click here to watch) portray a well-dressed, earnest young professional talking to potential clients. After throwing out a few pieces of financial-speak such as "401(k)s and asset allocation", the prospects comment that he seems knowledgeable and professional.
