US stocks fell on Monday as Wall Street awaited the Federal Reserve’s final policy meeting of the year, while the deal drama between Netflix (NFLX) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) escalated to a new level.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) dropped 0.5%, while the S&P 500 (^GSPC) fell 0.4%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) declined by 0.1%. The laggard start to the trading week comes on the heels of closing gains for stocks on Friday.
